Sculptures by the Sea

Updated: Mar 1, 2020

It is always a pleasure wandering along Cottesloe Beach at this time of year (March) enjoying the sun, the sand and the magnificent sculptures. This outing can be a quick walk around or you can spend time at the playground or stop to enjoy the beach and have a swim. There are lots of places to find food or icecream or if you prefer to bring your own there is plenty of grass to have a picnic. Stay into the evening and watch the sun set over the ocean.

Here are just a few to whet your appetite or to get the kids motivated to explore.

The great thing about the sculptures is they get the kid's attention. Although the signs ask you not to touch them many are still interactive in different ways.

Don't forget to head in to see the smaller sculptures - often mini versions of the large sculptures on display.

Sculptures by the Sea is a free event but donations are welcome to support future events. Parking is always at a premium so be prepared to walk some distance from the car to the beach.
