Yanchep (Yandjip) National Park - Yanchep
The word Yanchep is derived from Yandjip or Yanget which is the aboriginal name for the local bulrush reed found fringing the lakes. Yanchep Rose Trail - Yanchep (Yandjip) National Park
While completing the Ghost House Trail we crossed this trail and decided to hike it during Spring but time got away and that didn't happen so here we are, a year later in July. We set off to hike this14km trail hoping we would spot the Yanchep Rose (Diplolaena angustiflora) for which the trail is named as it flowers from Winter to Spring. Woodlands Walk Trail - Yanchep (Yandjip) National Park
Yanchep National Park is always beautiful at any time of the year. In early winter there were still a few splashes of autumn colour to offset the greens leading down to the lake. The Woodlands Walk Trail and many other trails all start behind the Yanchep Tea Rooms.
