You will find this treasure of a park on the eastern side of Macdonald Park in Padbury. Part Nature Playground, part bike skills track this little gem has plenty of parking either off Giles Avenue or MacDonald Avenue. There are no toilet facilities but there is a drinking fountain.
A dual use footpath encircles the nearby playing fields.
The "road" winds itself in and around the magnificent trees and is very realistic with tight hairpin turns, lane markings, pedestrian crossings, speed humps and even an off road track. What a fantastic safe place for kids to ride their scooters and bikes and learn about road rules.
Some of the timber used in the nature play area has been reclaimed from the Ocean Reef Boat Harbour Finger Jetties.
There is also a small traditional playground with sand play suited for younger children.
As this play area is located behind Padbury Primary School it may get busy when school finishes for the day and parking will be an issue at both drop off and pick up times.

I love wandering along trails, both marked and unmarked, and sharing my discoveries with my Out and About FNC community. If you enjoy reading my blogs please consider a small donation which will be used towards the costs of keeping the website up to date and relevant.
In the spirit of reconciliation Out and About- Family Nature Connection acknowledges the traditional owners of the Wadjak boodjar (Perth land) and their connections to land, sea and community. We pay our respect to their elders past and present and emerging and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.
