Perth really has so much to offer in the way of formal and informal street art and public art installations. My first exposure was walking through Subiaco on a Subi on Sunday guided walk which opened my eyes to what was on offer and sent me on a search for more. I have used Streets of Perth's interactive map and picture references to plan many walks. They provide a wonderful resource if you are hunting down urban art in Perth and we have used them to create and blog other urban art trails around Perth. Council/shire websites can also be useful. It is often a case of the more you look the more you see and the art scene is definitely alive and well and constantly changing!
Although a search of my blog site using Urban Art will bring up relevant blogs I have decided it is time to collate all the urban art blogs into one place. Some of the blogs are purely urban art, others combine adventures out and about with some featured art. I always found that the more research I did and the more planning the more I got out of the walk. Nevertheless once I was home and writing up the blog I always discovered something I missed! Or a week later a new one pops up! I hope that my blogs will inspire you to get out and about to explore what our city has to offer and that they will help you plan your walk to get the most out of it. Some of them are a bit dated - that means it's time for me to revisit them!
